About John Mac Manus

John Mac Manus is a flint wall specialist builder with a Building Surveying degree qualification. He has over 25 years experience in general building and 20 years of flint wall working experience, his main speciality today. Being Local Authority Approved as a flint work contractor, John is based in the historic town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk in the centre of East Anglia, an area rich in flint, flint walls, flint panels and structures.

John repairs and rebuilds existing flint work structures and features many of which are parts of listed buildings. John also designs and builds new flint work structures such as feature garden flint walls, boundary flint walls and flint panels in new properties.

John is a member of the Building Limes Forum (www.buildinglimesforum.org.uk) an organisation that exists to encourage expertise and understanding in the use of traditional building limes in old and new buildings when today’s fast setting ordinary Portland cements are sometimes inappropriately used.

Potential clients are offered site visits of completed flint work jobs.
